Happy Tail: Hope
We wanted to give you a quick update on our little toy poodle, Hope. We adopted her in January/February of 2005. When we adopted her you all had indicated she had been rescued from a house with 40 other dogs in it. Also, at the time of rescue she was pregnant and had luxating patellas on both her back legs. But y’all took her in, nursed her back to health and had surgery on her legs.
She is currently doing wonderfully! She is a happy, healthy little dog with a HUGE appetite. At the mere mention of the word “treat” she runs and jumps and spins happy little circles. And then, if you’re not fast enough in getting the treat to her, she’ll give you a couple of barks to tell you to “hurry UP!”
She also serves as Tracy’s little shadow. Hope follows Tracy everywhere she goes. If Tracy is making dinner, Hope is right next to her. If Tracy is taking a shower, Hope is laying on the rug waiting for her to finish. They are truly two peas in a pod.
She has been an absolute delight these past 6 1/2 years and we hope to have her for many, many years to come. She is a spoiled rotten little dog…and we wouldn’t want it any other way. Hope never meets a stranger and loves everyone who comes to our home. I should say, as long as they have a lap to sit on and a hand to pet her with…
Thank you for the wonderful work you do!
PS – Attached is a photo of Hope taken through the sliding glass door as she waits to be let in. You’d never know she was around 11 years old, would you?
